To ensure the highest standard of service delivery, it is essential that certain client requirements are in place. Clear communication and mutual cooperation allow Book A Santa to deliver a seamless experience, maintain consistency across all locations, and uphold the performance quality expected by both Myer and its customers. When expectations are clearly understood and respected by all parties, it reduces the risk of disruption, enables our performers to confidently do their jobs, and helps create magical, memorable moments for families.
Respectful Workplace Expectations
Book A Santa values a professional and respectful working environment. We ask that all staff, including performers and support personnel, are treated with courtesy, respect, and kindness at all times. We believe positive working relationships contribute to a successful and joyful campaign for all involved.
General Requirements
Book A Santa staff try to maintain excellent communication. We request assigned contact person to be are asked to prioritise returning phone calls when our staff make contact.
Offer direct or mobile numbers (preferably) to correct contact person in case of emergency.
Be available where possible to meet their Santa as a pre-season meeting if arranged.
Clients are encouraged to provide feedback post-event to assist in performance evaluations and continuous improvement. Any incidents or issues should be reported promptly to Book A Santa management.
Myer acknowledges that Book A Santa is a leading national provider of Santa Claus performers, with a long-standing portfolio of valued clients across Australia. While we are fully confident in our capacity to deliver a high-quality, large-scale campaign for Myer, we will continue to honour our commitments to other longstanding clients.
Event Schedule Adherence
Clients are expected to adhere to the agreed-upon schedule. Any changes should be communicated with at least 72 hours' notice to allow for necessary adjustments.
Cancelled shifts are paid in full if cancelled 30 days or less from event.
Photography and Media Use
Clients must obtain consent from performers before capturing photographs or video footage for promotional purposes.

Any agreed-upon media usage should respect the performer's rights and the integrity of the character portrayed.
Santa Specific Requirements
Santa should be expected to feel welcomed, safe, and comfortable in his environment.
Santa is a children’s entertainer, should adults be participating in Santa entertainment they must do so with respect and not under the influence of alcohol or any other prohibited substance. Centre staff are responsible for monitoring this. Santa should never be put in any sort of danger or inappropriate situation. Santa has the right to decide is a situation is inappropriate.
Santa is permitted to have a bottle of water he may sip while he is on his chair. He will use a straw.
Santa should expect to work in a clean environment, for both his safety and comfort, and for the sake of his costume. This includes a clean Santa Chair and change room.
Santa can get very hot in his suit. Santa must have an operational fan on set at all times.
Santa is often an older gentleman and wont be questioned if he requires toilet breaks.
Performer absences at Book A Santa are extremely rare and only occur due to genuine emergencies or illness. When this happens, we respond swiftly and at our own cost to arrange a replacement and minimise any disruption to Myer’s operations.
We ask that these situations be met with understanding. Our performers are human beings, and when someone is unwell, it is not due to negligence—it is an unavoidable part of working with people. We kindly request that neither blame nor undue pressure be placed on our team in these instances.
If a replacement cannot be found, Myer will not be charged for the affected shift of that one performer. We will also manage any necessary communication with customers to uphold Myer’s reputation and ensure a positive experience.
Change Room Facilities Requirements
Santa requires a private, clean space to change in and store clothing and valuables. This should be available to Santa when he requires it, without having to wait an unreasonable amount of time, so as not to affect his call time.
Santa requires access to bathroom facilities that are inaccessible to the public.
Please ensure there is a chair, a mirror and a fan in Santa’s change room
Change rooms should be inaccessible to the general public and generally safe for his possessions.
Specific to Santaland, Book a Santa would love a small fridge for Santa to store his lunch, cold water and any cool packs he may use.
Head Office Level Requirements
Report all required information, including correct and exact venues, correct contact information and timetables within a timely manner.
Update Book A Santa as soon as possible with any changes to venues, contacts or campaign.
Report any problems or issues and allow Book A Santa staff to resolve.
