Book A Santa will work collaboratively with Myer to adjust resources where appropriate, should seasonal or regional variations arise, without compromising service quality.
Performer Wages:
Competitive rates to attract and retain experienced, reliable Santa Claus, Mrs Claus, and Elf performers nationwide.
Costumes and Maintenance:
Provision of high-quality, professionally maintained costumes
Regular cleaning, repairs, and upkeep to ensure optimal presentation
Distribution and logistics to deliver costumes to performers and stores across Australia
Agency Support:
Margin allowance to enable outsourcing to trusted partner agencies, where necessary, to ensure complete coverage in remote areas.
Administration and Management:
Staff salaries and operational costs associated with performer management, rostering, training, and daily campaign oversight
Use of specialised software systems and applications (specifically implemented to manage Myer operations)
Onboarding costs
Incident management resources
Advertising and recruitment campaign costs for performer sourcing
Travel and Logistics:
Travel costs incurred by staff visiting stores for onboarding, performer support, and operational checks.
Travel to the Head Office of Myer in Melbourne for an in-person review.
Compliance, Taxation and Payroll:
Full payroll processing including superannuation, taxation compliance to Australian law and Myer's supplier requirements.
Public Liability
Insurance coverages aligned with Australian law and Myer's supplier requirements.
Mental Load Management:
Recognising the additional physical, emotional, and mental demands placed on staff and performers during the Christmas period — including time spent away from family, increased travel, and extended working hours — our pricing incorporates measures to support staff well-being, retention, and performance throughout the campaign.

Performer Rates
All performers engaged by Book A Santa are contracted as independent contractors. This arrangement enables us to deliver high-quality services while ensuring performers are paid rates that meet or exceed industry benchmarks as per Myer's ethical Sourcing Policy.
As contractors, individuals are accountable for their performance. Book A Santa reserves the right to terminate a contract if a performer fails to meet the required standards of conduct, presentation, or performance.
Santa Performers: $110 per hour
Inclusive of full Santa costume and all magic props for interactive engagement.
Mrs Claus Performers: $110 per hour
Inclusive of full Mrs Claus costume and storytelling activity materials.
Elf Performers (including Welcome Elves): $90 per hour
Inclusive of full Elf costume.
Auslan Elf Performer: $495 per three-hour shift
Specialist performer with Auslan skills to ensure accessibility and inclusivity.
Book A Santa pays a superannuation guarantee of up to 12%, ensuring performers receive appropriate retirement contributions in line with or exceeding legal obligations.

15 custom LED light-up Christmas trees installed across the SantaLand area - one in each Santa room.
Each tree features four colour-change lighting options, activated by child-friendly buttons to create interactive magic.
Trees to be tagged and tested
Includes specialist inclusive buttons to ensure all abilities can push the buttons.
Cost is a rental fee. Trees belong to Book A Santa, and all maintenance, repairs and updates will be completed by Book A Santa.

Standard Hours: Quoted performer rates apply to standard shopping centre trading hours (Monday to Sunday). Additional loadings may apply for work performed on public holidays, or outside of regular trading hours.
Minimum Call Time: A minimum call time of three hours applies to all performers per booking, in line with industry standards.
Travel and Accommodation: For regional or remote site activations where local performers are unavailable, travel and accommodation costs may be applied separately, subject to prior approval.
Costume and Prop Supply: All costs associated with performer costumes, magic props, are included in the quoted rates unless otherwise specified.
Giveaways: Magic Coins Giveaway is based on an order of 100,000 pieces. Any additional quantities requested will be quoted separately.
Book A Santa is fully committed to meeting and exceeding the requirements outlined in Myer's Ethical Sourcing Policy, particularly regarding fair wages, working conditions, and treatment of personnel.
In alignment with national legislation, industry standards, and Myer's ethical expectations:
Santa Claus Performers:
Paid at a rate of $50 per hour
(Benchmark for department store Santa performers ranges from $40–$60 per hour)
Elves and Christmas Character Performers:
Paid at a rate of $40 per hour
(Benchmark for department store Elves ranges from $35–$50 per hour)
Superannuation:
Book A Santa also pays the applicable Superannuation Guarantee contributions in compliance with Australian legislation.
Book A Santa ensures that performers are compensated fairly for all activities related to their role, including:
Mandatory training sessions
Induction days requested by the client
Promotional appearances
Unreasonable travel time where performers are required to travel to training, induction, or events outside their local area
Performers are reimbursed for work-related travel in accordance with Australian Tax Office (ATO) cents-per-kilometre rates where appropriate.
Parking expenses for onsite
Client can either arrange a staff parking park, free parking, or reinburse of parking expenses.
Rates are based on general department store rates
Rates are based on a minimum of three-hour shifts
Rates are based on a minimum season of 100+ hours per performer.
Payment is due on the dates listed.
Payment will be paid by bank transfer directly to Book A Santa.
An invoice will be emailed 14 days before each due date.
Any giveaways, activities or equipment must be prepaid before ordering.
Any discrepancies or adjustments (e.g., store changes, last-minute additions or cancellations) will be reconciled and reflected in the final invoice issued after the conclusion of the campaign.
If payment isn't received, performers cannot continue their work.
No refunds will be provided for cancelled or unused services once payment has been made. All cancellations are subject to the terms outlined in our cancellation and rescheduling policies.
All payments across the entire tender/quote/pricing submission are exclusive of GST.
Payment for the campaign will be due once per financial quarter.
Payment 1 - Due 1st June 2025.
First payment will be 25% of the assumed amount based on 2021 figures supplied.

25% of assumed amount, plus budgets of training sessions
Exact dates of season are due September
Payment 3 - Due 1st December
25% of now exact figures of dates.
Payment 4 - Due 1st March

Any discrepancies or adjustments will be reconciled and reflected in the final invoice issued after the conclusion of the campaign.
These dates allow Book A Santa to effectively run a successful campaign and ensure performers maintain loyalty with timely wage payments.
Invoices will be sent to Myer 14 days before the due date.
Pricing is for a fixed two-year term as per contract.
In 2027 and beyond, Book A Santa will requote with a 5% to 10% increase.
All Giveaways are quoted per year and will be re-quoted each year from suppliers.

Equipment will be re-used as much as feasible eg. Light up trees.
